It can be hard to choose between different party or on the other hand miss one that you had no idea was taking place but desperately wanted to go. Don’t worry there are numerous websites to help you find choose your events. The first one, and our favorite is Resident Advisor :

Resident Advisor is listing pretty much every electronic music events (even the smallest). It’s mainly focused on underground music (house, techno, drum and bass, dubstep…) so you won’t find any EDM parties but this website is a goldmine.

Bandsintown :

Bandsintown is great aswell. A lot of artists are registered in this site (not to say almost all of them).

There are two ways to find a concert or a club party in Bandsintown. First one is like Resident Advisor, you can select your town and see all the gigs listed. But the real advantage of Bandsintown is that you can « track » your favorite artists and get notified when they come to play in your town. You will never miss them !

Last FM :

LastFM also lists events. They show you events near you so you don’t have a lot of flexibility for example if you want to find an event for your week end abroad. You can also follow artists but again, not all events are listed.

Songkick :

Great thing about Songkick is that you can import your playlists from Spotify, Deezer and your likes on Facebook related to music and they will show you the gigs from the artists you like. There are not a lot of events registered on this site but we’ve seen some very small artists we love at Olopop registered that we couldn’t find on the other websites. So Songkick can be a very good supplementary source of information.

We also advise you to check webzines from your country or city, or genre specialized webzines that will do the work of digging up every events related.

Our first and favorite is Absolute drinks. They give you over 3000 recipes of cocktails. First, you select your alcohol, then the taste (fruit, sweet, spicy), the type of glass and the color of your cocktail. You can then select the one you like and follow the preparation step by step. They will tell you what ingredients you need and how to mix them. There is a video for each cocktails. This site is very intuitive, and they always end up selecting the best cocktail for you.

Whether it’s a simple diner with a few friends or a home-made Coachella, you won’t escape this painful and laborious chore that is next day cleaning. You wake up after a party with a headache, heading to your living room you discover the battlefield. You go to your kitchen (which is almost as clean as your living room) to prepare a nice breakfast when you see your cereals box empty, lying on the floor. It’s going to be a long morning.

Don’t worry, you are not the first and you won’t be the last to experience that. So what if somebody could clean your mess? Startups like Lendemain de Soirée in France and more recently Hangover Helpers in Australia can do it for you.

James Hookway, founder of Hangover Helpers said he had the idea after hosting himself a party.

“I was hungover in bed with my wife, our house was a mess and we had no food and wanted someone to bring us breakfast in bed and clean the house. It was a bit of a pipe dream at first but after researching the industry and seeing the strong potential in the market, we decided to put this idea into action” he said in Startup Daily (June 29, 2015)

The concept is very simple, you party at home and in the morning a team comes to clean your house or flat in about an hour. Prices vary depending on the surface or number of rooms which need to be cleaned. They also bring you a breakfast in bed. Actually, a lot of “general” cleaning services propose an after party service but they don’t have as much as flexibility compared to those startups (and they won”t cook you breakfast).

Next time you organize a party, or next time you don’t want to organize a party because you fear that cleaning chore, think about it. those services are really helpful and make organization so much easier.
